Pharmacology:
It has been suggested that Boswellia is effective in the management
of arthritis. Its Boswellic Acids have an anti-inflammatory action.
Boswellia inhibits pro-inflammatory mediators in the body, such as
leukotrienes. Long term use of Boswellia does not lead to irritation
or ulceration of the stomach as do NSAIDs.

Theoretical Cautions and Contraindications:
None known although as with any herbal supplement, use with caution
in children under two years of age and in pregnancy and lactation. May
cause occasional allergic reactions or mild gastrointestinal distress.
